Cairo 25-12-07 aka Christmas Day

Christmas Day in Cairo - home to some 27 million people.  Very dirty but safe.  We drove up out the the pyramids - so much bigger than I ever imagined.

The Cairo museum had more King Tut artifacts then they knew what to do with.  Some over 7,000 years old.

First week in London

We landed in London on 1-6-07 (that's June 1 - the day is before the month over here, which is really confusing when you are looking at expiration dates...)
Sandy went to work taming the lions (see pic) and Annie went to sleep.

Egypt December 2007

When Sandy gave me the go ahead on Dec 12 to book a trip to go away for Christmas, I googled beach and golf and weather above 20 degrees...in no time I booked us a holiday to Sharm El Sheikh in the Sinai area of Egypt on the Red Sea.  The flight was only a little over 5 hours away.

We discovered that the Egyptians are friendly, have a great sense of humor and are not big water sports people so more room for us at the pool and in the sea!  We also learned a little bit of the language.  The Egyptians still think that Chicago is run by the gangsters and is a very dangerous place...we'll just let them believe that.

The snorkeling was amazing and we can't wait to go back when the water is a little warmer for Annie...
